QUARTERLY MEETING MINUTES
PAST 3 MONTHS: Last quarterly meeting was held @ the GFD on
LOGISTICS: Al Raymond, our Logistics Officer, spoke about new policies set by our Board, now in place, concerning mandatory expectations of members. At least 2 activities are required per year. The annual BBQ and Banquet are no longer considered an activity. Choices of 2 or more could include an outreach event, or activation of CERT, and trainings. Members are encouraged to attend all meetings, however members can only count one meeting per year as one of their 2 required activities. The other activity must be met through attending a training or outreach event or activation. Orders for long and short sleeved T shirts, Fleece vests and jackets are being taken from Al. Starting in March, members will have equipment checked, with the exception of new members who will receive them this month. Members were told to see Lt. Marcoux if they don't have their ID cards yet. These need to be done in 2 weeks.
TRAINING: Ron Michaud, our Training Officer, states 50 out of 55 members have completed the FEMA required 100 and 700 classes. The main point of these 2 classes deals with common terminology. FEMA mandates that we have to be 100% compliant to their requirements. Lt Marcoux asks non compliant members to please get this done. He also advises he will do what he can to help you get the classes completed, just ask. New guidelines from FEMA mandates CERTs need to have 701, 702, 703, and 704 classes completed by 2010. Board asks members to have 701 and 702 done by years end. Every quarterly meeting should have notice of the next 3 months ahead. On Feb 23rd @
OPERATIONS: Anita Chaput, our Operations Officer asks to please send in monthly hours by the end of each month with a brief description of what the hours were for. Last month, (Dec. 2008) were the most hours ever recorded for Goffstown CERT. Members are encouraged to keep close track of time spent for CERT.
Sunday, Feb. 8th is the Goffstown Cert annual Banquet being held at Stark Hall in the Village.
MEDCO: Sandra White, our Medco RN, is reminding members to please keep your/her records updated, especially concerning emergency contact info. Howard Wheeler has kindly donated a wheelchair for out CERT trailer.
