The Town of Goffstown is located in Hillsborough County in the southern section of the State of New Hampshire. Welcome to the New Boston CERT Site. Our CERT team was founded in November 2008 to support the The New Boston Police and Fire Departments. Our mission is to train, organize, and equip members of our community in all aspects of emergency management, educate the public, and promote safety of our citizens and surrounding communities. It was shortly after two of our citizens graduated from the CERT training program that the state was hit with the Dec 11, 2008 ice storm. With two members already trained and the addition of two more members, the CERT team successfully opened and operated an emergency shelter for the town for 6 days providing meals, shelter, and sleeping facilities. Our current specialization is traffic control whether for Fourth of July or downed power lines during storms. Our services are not limited to this area as we jointly work assisting New Boston Police, Fire and Department of Public Works.
