- 29 March 2010 - On Sunday, March 28th the Goffstown CERT held their annual meeting. More than 50 members were in attendance as well as other support staff and local community services personnel. Susan Jutras, Director coordinated the event and was spokesperson for the evening. Recognition for new members in December were
honored. Awards for achievement to members of the group were plentiful. Patrick Sullivan Police Chief Patrick Sullivan stated "The Goffstown CERT Team is recognized nationally for it's dedication to the community. This Team is the largest and most organized than others in the entire Country. For this we are proud". Bill Wynne of GoffstownToday.com has been the Team's video production
component and is well appreciated; words spoken by Susan Jutras, Director. The Team was not called into action during the year for responses to
and for this, time was allowed for an emphasis on growing the team and a primary focus on training. The Team surpassed both of these goals during the year and moving forward these two primary areas remain a significant focus.
Over 4,000 hours were logged during 2009 by Team members for assistance not only locally but with other communities as well. This exceeds 2008 by just over 3,000 hours logged. All citizens of Goffstown are invited to join the Goffstown CERT. It is a great personal investment and a magnificent investment in community volunteerism to help in time of need.
